I like it! You got the weight of the drawing perfect; not an easy thing to do. I would like to know more about the Steinberg idea?

Saul Stainberg, New Yorker cartoonist, had a whole series of men (always men) carrying pedestals with their bust on it. Get a collection of his cartoons and you will probably see them.

What a huge change since the 50's when Steinberg was active. Women had hardly entered public life then. Did you ever see the musical State Fair? The big pride woman's issue was whether she would win a prize for her cooking or whether her daughter would get the guy from the big city.

How did you like my drawing of a man carrying about a column with his bust on top? It's actually my rendition of a Steinberg idea. I think, in a succinct way, that's the situation for most of us.
